Learn-to-Row: June 27 - July 9
Time: 8:00am - 12:00pm
Recommended for grades 7-9. The 2-Week introductory program concentrates on teaching all participants the fundamentals of rowing. We cover technique, equipment handling, and safety. We also keep the experience fun with some inter-squad competitions and activities. If you are looking to try something new, we are happy to have you!
Row-n-Race: July 15 - July 27
Time: 8:00am - 12:00pm
Recommended for Grades 7-10. This is a new program for us. Row-n-Race focuses on first time rowers and novices looking for a more competitive experience than Learn-to-Row. Over the two week period, we will provide basics of competitive rowing and conclude with participation at a local race. Details of the regatta will be mentioned at a later date.
Summer Team: June 26 - July 20
Pre-Summer Tune-up: June 7 - June 21
Monday, Wednesday, & Friday: 4:00pm - 6:30pm
Primary Training Schedule:
Team Boat Training(5 days/week): Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 10:30am
Complimentary Small Boat Training(3 days/week): Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday, 4:00pm - 6:30pm
This program is here to develop athletes and give the opportunity to compete and participate in multiple events, varying over several boat classes. We will be bringing in some Guest Coaching to aid with the training and provide discussions on the recruitment process. We will also be doing college tours as well as historical tours in the areas. More details to come.
U23: June 3rd - July 13
Time: 5:30am to 7:30am
Participating Regattas: Independence Day Regatta, June 28th-30th
Manhasset Crew is excited to offer a summer home for all U-23 athletes. Athletes will be afforded the opportunity to row and compete throughout the summer months. This for those who would like to continue their passion for the sport of rowing and surround themselves with likeminded athletes who share the desire the improve. Training schedule is expected to be a minimum of 3 Days/Week with potential to extend up to 5 based on demand. Lifting/Strength routine will be provided as per requested.
Whether you have an athlete on the team or are a former rower looking to get back into it, our Masters Program is for all adults. We cater to each adult. If you are new, we go over the basics and teach the technique step-by-step. If you have the experience, we will help you get some meters. All of this is done under some great sunsets!
